Rachel Walensky

Director of Marketing & Communications

With nearly a decade of public relations and marketing experience working with renowned hospitality brands, Rachel Walensky joined the Invest Hospitality team in August 2017 as the Director of Marketing & Communications. She began her career at the international hospitality marketing firm Wagstaff Worldwide as one of the first members of their New York City office. During her tenure with the company, Rachel was instrumental in growing their client base and team, spearheading campaigns for over 20 high-profile food, beverage, and travel accounts. Following Wagstaff, Rachel moved from the agency side to in-house as the Director of Marketing for Michelin-starred Chef George Mendes and his acclaimed New York City restaurants Aldea and Lupulo. Her role encompassed all aspects of branding, media relations, social media, direct marketing, and strategic partnerships, leading to increased revenue, and a myriad of national and international exposure for the Chef and restaurants.

Rachel graduated magna cum laude from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Legal Studies. She is a guest lecturer for New York University’s Food Studies PhD Program on the topic of PR, and has served on the Benefit Committee for the non-profit organization No Kid Hungry’s annual “Taste of the Nation” gala for eight years. Rachel is thrilled to be a part of the INVEST HOSPITALITY team, and guide the strategic communication efforts for the company and its partners.
