ACCLAIMED CHEF JOËL ROBUCHON TO OPEN FINE DINING RESTAURANT AND GOURMET MARKET IN ONE HUNDRED EAST FIFTY THIRD STREET, NEW LUXURY RESIDENTIAL CONDOMINIUM IN MIDTOWN NEW YORK
INVEST HOSPITALITY (IH), a New York based hospitality investment and management company announced that celebrated French Chef Joël Robuchon will be bringing his fine dining concept Joël Robuchon Restaurant and a gourmet marketplace to Midtown Manhattan in late 2017.
The Robuchon culinary experience will be located at One Hundred East Fifty Third Street, the forthcoming luxury residential tower by owner / developer Aby Rosen’s RFR and owner China Vanke Co. and designed by acclaimed British architect Norman Foster’s Foster + Partners.
“One Hundred East Fifty Third Street is a unique residence that epitomizes culture and New York lifestyle. We hired the best team, Norman Foster, to deliver great architecture, and now the most decorated chef in the world Joël Robuchon to create two floors of amazing culinary experiences. I am thrilled to have him in the building." Said Aby Rosen, Owner and Developer.
Spanning two levels, the multi-concept space will be designed by renowned French architect and designer Joseph Dirand, and will feature a marketplace on the ground level, and a fine dining restaurant on the second level, which will be comparable to Chef Robuchon’s acclaimed eponymous restaurants in Las Vegas, Macao, Singapore and Tokyo. The Joël Robuchon Restaurants have been awarded the highest rating of Three Stars in cities where the Michelin Guide is represented.
“I’ve always loved New York, it’s one of my favorite cities in the world and I’m really happy to be coming back. I’ve always believed that having a fine dining restaurant in New York was obvious considering its position in the world of gastronomy.” Said Chef Joël Robuchon, who currently holds 24 Michelin stars at his establishments throughout the world. Joël Robuchon Restaurant New York is being created with managing partner Alex Gaudelet, who worked with Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he served as the VP of Food & Beverage. Prior to launching IH in New York, Alex Gaudelet was the COO of BR Guest Hospitality.
“We are thrilled to partner with Joël Robuchon and Aby Rosen on this exceptional project. The combination of the chef with the most Michelin Stars in the world and one of New York's most audacious visionaries is going to make for an iconic venue." Said Alex Gaudelet, CEO of Invest Hospitality.
Invest Hospitality has also announced the opening of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Miami’s Design District in Fall 2017.
