L’ATELIER DE JOËL ROBUCHON TO OPEN IN THE MEATPACKING DISTRICT

 

NOVEMBER 7, 2016 – NEW YORK – Celebrated French Chef Joël Robuchon and Invest Hospitality, a New York based hospitality and management group, have announced a new location for L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon New York. The Chef with the most Michelin stars in the world is set to open L’Atelier in New York City’s Meatpacking District in Fall of 2017.

Located on the corner of 15th Street and 10th Avenue, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon will feature Chef Robuchon’s signature counter seating in a vibrant and high-energy setting.

"The spirit of L’Atelier fits very well within the high energy of the Meatpacking District and I am thrilled to bring L’Atelier back to New York, “ said Chef Joël Robuchon.

The menu at L’Atelier, whose name refers to an artist’s workshop or studio, will offer dishes that emphasize Chef Robuchon’s hallmark of highly refined clockwork precision, abundant creativity and use of the highest quality of ingredients. Dissolving the boundaries between kitchen and dining room, L’Atelier’s signature counter seating faces directly into the open kitchen, allowing for a dynamic interaction between chef and diner and offering direct access to the creative process.

The bar and lounge area’s more accessible menu will cater to the evolving Meatpacking neighborhood offering a selection of salads, sandwiches, and simply prepared dishes starting at lunch and extending through the evening.

 

Nestled below the bustling High Line, adjacent to Del Posto, and across the street from Chelsea Market, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon will be designed by renowned architect Pierre-Yves Rochon and will stay true to L’Atelier’s original Parisian roots while taking inspiration from its surrounding Meatpacking District neighborhood.

L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon is created with managing partner Alex Gaudelet, who has worked with Joël Robuchon for many years at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where he served as the VP of Food & Beverage. Prior to launching IH in New York, Alex Gaudelet was the COO of BR Guest Hospitality. The group has also announced the opening of L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Miami’s Design District in Fall 2017 and the chef’s higher end Joël Robuchon Restaurant in Midtown Manhattan in early 2018. 85 10th Ave is owned by an affiliate of Related Companies, and managed by Related Management.
